Find Your Week
We need time together.
Written for three or four friends who have been meaning to do this for years. A house, not four hotel rooms. One table, one kitchen, one balcony for the long conversations, and a Peninsula that gives you something different to do every day without anyone having to organise it.
The week leans social: markets, seafood, wine, a couple of shared adventures, and evenings that end at home. Each day has a quieter option too, because not everyone wants the same thing on the same morning, and that is fine.

Day by day
Nobody unpacks properly. Nobody minds.
Bags down, a walk to the tidal pool to see the water, then the first shop: Kalk Bay for seafood and wine, or the centre ten minutes away for everything else. First dinner at home, cooked together, badly, with the balcony doors open.
Turn it up: the walk along the coast to Fish Hoek and back before dinner.

A village built for wandering.
Breakfast in Kalk Bay, then the harbour, the bookshops, the antique stores, coffee twice. Buy dinner while you are there. Afternoon split: some to the tidal pool, some to the reading room, some to a nap. Regroup at sunset on the balcony.
Turn it up: a surf lesson at Muizenberg after lunch, all of you, no exceptions.

A day nobody will forget, and a photo nobody will delete.
Boulders Beach early, before the buses, for the penguins and the sheltered coves. Lunch in Simon's Town on Jubilee Square, then a slow afternoon at Glencairn Beach with whatever is left in the cool box.
Turn it up: a guided kayak from Simon's Town to the penguins, two hours, then lunch.

Lunch that becomes dinner.
Drive to Cape Point Vineyards in Noordhoek for a tasting and the long lunch this week was built around. If the market is on, stay for it. Sunset over the Atlantic side, a cautious drive home, and nothing planned for the evening.
Turn it up: a morning ride on Noordhoek Beach first, then the vineyard as the reward.

The whole Peninsula in one loop.
Chapman's Peak slowly, stopping at every viewpoint, down to Hout Bay for lunch by the harbour, then back over the mountain. Home for a quiet evening and the leftovers.
Turn it up: Chapman's Peak by bicycle for the ones who want to earn lunch; the car follows.

Optional. Genuinely.
For those who want it, shark cage diving or another marine adventure from Simon's Town, weather permitting. For those who don't, a Silvermine walk and a long lunch in Kalk Bay. Everyone back for a final dinner at home, the good bottle, stories from both halves of the day.
Turn it up: all in: the boat in the morning, the mountain in the afternoon.

Do the best thing again.
The tidal pool one more time, breakfast on the balcony, and an hour to walk Simon's Town before the drive. Someone books the next one before you leave.
Turn it up: a dawn run along the coast road, then the pool.

Sleeps up to four. Activities are ideas, not bookings. When you enquire we put you in touch with the local operators we trust. Some experiences depend on weather and season.
Tell us your dates and how many of you there are. Rates on request; we reply personally, usually within a day.
